My Hair Is Gone!

So I decided that I was tired of having long hair so I had it cut off. On Thursday I went to my sisters house and she cut it for me. She took off about 4-5 inches and it's and A line style. I absolutly love it! Thanks Amber!

My New Hobby

In the past few months I have started making beaded lanyards. Since I work for a health care facility and we are SUPPOSED to wear our badges I thought it would be nice to have something cute to have it on so people don't focus on my picture. :) JK. But seriously they have been a big hit and I've started selling them for $10 each. I was using elastic but I decided I didn't like it anymore and now I've changed to a "hybrid" wire that I'm really liking.

Time For An Update!

So what's been going on with me? Well, currently I am going to the DACT to get my CNA. I started at the end of August and will be done by early November. Still working at Orchard Cove as a receptionist but I'll be starting as a NA probably next week. Which I'm excited for cause it will give me alot of insight before I even take my test. I'm going to start getting my pre-recs for nursing at SLCC in the spring semester and once I have that done I'll probably go back to the DATC for my actual LPN and RN. Other then that there is a little romance brewing. :) There is a boy I work with that I kind of have a thing for, his name is Ben. We've gone out once and are going to go out again. And you all should be totally proud of me cause I'M the one who asked both times. So we shall see how that progresses. I REALLY like him, and honestly I can see myself married to him. So cross your fingers for me.
Morph
I just wish boys didn't make it so freaking HARD! Seriously, what do I look like a mind reader! Help me out here!
Well thats it really. I lead a boring life, what can I say. Bored

Boating Trip

Today my family went to Pine View Reservoir and took our boat out. This was a great outing for us cause EVERYBODY was able to go, and thats weird for us. It was tons of fun, but I'm freaking toasted. As white as I was before I'm now red instead. All of us seemed to have gotten burnt even though we put on tons of sun screen.
That's Josh swimming in the lake. That kid is a freaking fish!Jaxon driving the boat and picking his nose. For some reason almost every time I tried to take this picture his finger went straight for the nose. Weird. However he did give me one big smile. :) Little monster! This is Josh riding in the tube. 4 years old and braver then me, I would never let myself be pulled behind a boat!Thats our boat, and it has been fun having it although I haven't really been out on it all that much. Today was probably the first time in two years. So even though I have a wicked bad sun burn, and by the way I DID use sun screen many times, it was totally worth it. Hopefully I'll be able to go out one more time before the season is over. With my new schedule that just might be possible. I think I spent more time with my family this weekend then I have in the last three months, and it was great. I highly reccomend it!

John Edward

Today my parents and I went to see John Edward at Capitol Theatre. For those of you who have never heard of him, John Edward is a psychic who can communicate with the dead. Crazy I know but when you see him at one of these shows its hard not to believe that it's all true and honestly feels better to believe in it. If you ever get a chance to see one of his shows or read one of his books you should.

Rockers Reunion 2008

On August 2nd my family held their annual family reunion. This year was my moms sides turn to hold it, and my family decided to do a 50's theme.

I was freaking out being up on those chairs! I hate heights, even standing on a chair freaks me out.
We got to the hall at about 7:45 that morning to begin setting up for the afternoon. We started by setting up the tables and chairs and then we began hangging records and streamers from the ceiling. By the time we were done it looked great!

With as many kids as there always are you have to have games to keep them occupied. We had a balloon dart board, ring toss, musical chairs, a tug of war, and a water balloon fight (it was freaking HOT!).

"May all the days of all the years that God has still in store be filled with every joy and grace to bless you more and more; May hope of heart and peace of mind beside you ever stay, and that's the golden wish I have for you, this Reunion Day!"- A Reunion Blessing

After games it was time for food. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, and of course with it being so hot out we had ice cream delivered by our lovely "waitresses", my cousins, aren't they CUTE! :)

Uncle's Jim, Matt, and Jerry. Three of my moms brothers. Missing is Andy, he was there just didn't get a picture.
Uncle Marlin, married to my Aunt Joan my mom's oldest sibling, and cousin Stacie. Dylan off to the side.
Cousins Jessie, Garrett (his mom married my Uncle Matt), and Chad. Chad married Stacie in March. Congrats you two!
Papa Ray! My moms dad.
The part I love the best is being able to see all my family! I don't get this kind of oppurtunity very often and I was thrilled to have been able to make it back for this reunion. I have 16 first cousins and about 20 second cousins, and I can finally name all my first cousins! Their kids are going to take some time, there are just too many of them!

Unimportant Things About Me!

Okay here are the rules:
1. You link back to the person who tagged you
2. Post these rules on your blog
3. Share six unimportant things about yourself
4. Tag six random people at the end of your entry
5. Let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs
6. Enjoy the results!

Ok six unimportant things about me.....

1. I have to be at least 15 minutes early for anything; work, school, anything.

2. I have a natural inability to say "no" to people. Even if I don't want to do what they ask me to do I'll still say "yes". Really a pain in the butt sometimes.

3. I have to have all my DVD's alphabatized. If I had it my way all the books in our computer room would be alphabatized as well, but mom won that battle:(.

4. I have to have all my clothes folded a certain way. My mom has folded my laundry for me and I unfolded all of it and re-folded it my way.

5. If I'm sitting somewhere out in public, a baseball game, resturant, swimming pool, ect., I sit and watch people. I just like to observe people and see what they do in different situations. It's really fun actually.

6. I'm a little OCD, I have to have things in the right place. For those of you who know me from work, it comes down to the coke machine. I could spend hours takeing things out of it and putting them back in the correct spot. I hate it when something is in the wrong spot!

Well thats all I can think of. I don't have six people to tag but I tag Amber, Krista, and Caria. They are the only ones who haven't been tagged that I know that have blogs. :)

Memory Tag

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave you one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. All those people that really know me speak up... now is not the time for blurking.

Work Fun

When you have to work constantly it becomes neccesary to have a little bit of fun. So tonight we decided we would have a little bit of fun and after our work was finished we decided to make smores.

When I've been cleaning up at night and I turn on all the burners on the stove to make sure they are all lit I think about how fun it would be to toast marshmallows and make smores. So on Monday night we got out the marshmallows and the chocolate and the graham crackers and we roasted marshmallows over the stove.
This night was one of the worst night I've worked in the kitchen in a while. We had a really complicated dinner and when you have people who are late and who don't come in things get really stressful. So having this to look forward to after all that was really nice especially when we don't do this kind of thing very often.
So after all that Alexa and I were super excited to eat our smores, and they were really good. Not to good when you're on a diet but after two I was able to walk away and watch the others enjoy theirs. Plus they are way sugary, two was enough to make me sick! Now who says you can't have fun at work? And now would you believe that at night as night cook I'M the boss? Now seriously, am I the coolest boss or what?

Here's my House

So I've lived in Farmington since November of 07 and I finally have some pictures to show.

This is the front of the house, we've got a three car garage so you can't quite see all the way to the west of the house. We got our grass done for the back yard this month.

Here's the downstairs living room. My mom finally got all the decorations the way she wants them.

This is the kitchen which is right off the living room. The whole room is open, like one big room. The dining area is just off the left of the counter.

This is the bonus room thats above the garage. Really cool room, all big and open.

And now for the best room in the house.

This is my room coming in from the door and thats my bed.

There you can see from another angle where my dresser and all my movies are. And yes I finally got a new TV that actually works well.

So thats most of my house, it's been alot of fun being here. Sometimes I think of the old Bountiful house and I miss it but it's been really great being here. We are finally getting some new neighbors. We were the only people living in our subdivison for about six months but theres about five other families now and more homes are being built. So there ya go thats my house! :)

Grandpa's Birthday

We were finally able to make a trip back home to Kansas in January for my grandpa's birthday. This was the first time we had been back in almost four years and it was really nice to see all my family again. My nephews, Josh and Jaxon, had so much fun. All Josh talked about for like the next two weeks was being on papa Ray's farm and playing with the cool guy (Uncle Jerry).

Josh, 4, got to sit in all the tractors and he even got to drive the Gator. If that isn't the coolest thing in the world for a 4 yr old I don't know what is.

This was grandpa's 80th birthday and to be compeltly truthful he would rather have spent it at home in his recliner watching the game, but we had a party for him. And as we all know things don't always go as we plan. 15 minutes before we were set to leave for the hall the only toilet in the house began to back-up and it was decided to take it outside and clean it. Maybe not the best idea, becasue once they took it off the discovered how difficult it would be to put it back on. And yes they were spraying it out with a garden hose on the front yard:). This was one of the funniest things in the world to watch and I only wish I had video taped it. America's Funniest Home Videos has nothing on this! Luckily for us the one holding the hose is a plumber and knew what he was doing, hopefully :) Finally it was decided to simply get them a new toilet and not mess around with this really really old one any more. With as much excitment as there was that morning, we did finally get to the banquet hall for the birthday party.

So once we FINALLY got there it was time for cake, for what would a party be without cake. And of course all the people who come to wish you well. It's funny I had a bunch of people come up to me and say you're Angie's daughter and I say yea, but in my head I'm thinking 'and who the hell are you'. Sadly I don't know alot of my family, there are just to many of them and I'm not there nearly enough to know who they are. But altogether it was a really fun weekend and it was great to be able to see all my family after so long.
And of course what would a party be without the stripper! Jaxon--->
Ahhh they learn so young.

Band Trip 2007

In 2007 we went on our annual band trip to Annehiem Cailfornia. Since it was early March we were all happy to get away from Utah's bitter cold winter, and by March it was still way cold, and into California's beautiful sunny weather.

Our day at the beach was perfect, if not a little bit windy and the water a little bit cold, but lets face it this is the Pacific we're talking about, it's always cold. So this was day 1 in California, spent riding in a bus, boring, cramped, and smelly, and the second half playin in the sand and water.

That night we went to Medeival Times, which if you are ever in the area you should totally go cause it is so much fun you get to see people fight and they give you tons of food.
The next day was time for DISNEY LAND! We
went on the perfect day, there weren't very many people there so there weren't any lines for anything. The only ride we had a long wait for was Space Mountain but that one is always busy. We all had such a great time and we had a tendency to draw attention to ourselves, because, lets face it, we're band geeks and we're loud band geeks, not to mention the 60 or so of us that were there how could we not draw attention.

And I'm sorry to say that try as we might we could not yank that sword from the stone. :(
As much fun as vacations are they all must come to an end. And all to soon it was time to get on the bus and begin the all night journey back to utah on our boring, cramped, and smelly bus. But all together one of the funnest trips I've been on!
